Our West Palm Beach, Florida location was formed as Florida Aluminum Casting Company in 1946, by Fred Simon. The buildings used for the foundry operation were part of what had been a military installation during World War II. The business grew to pour both aluminum and copper alloys using both sand and permanent mold casting methods. In 1973, the company began machining its own castings at an adjacent property.
In 1988, Tri-State Cast Technologies purchased Florida Aluminum from Fred’s brother, George, and renamed the company Florida Machine & Casting Company to focus on our machining capabilities. Under the ownership of Tri-State, Florida Machine shifted it’s focus to aluminum sand casting and machining, moving the copper alloy and permanent mold jobs to another facility. In 2015, the land use around Florida Machine and Casting had changed to a point where it was more appropriate to relocate the business into a West Palm Beach industrial park.
Today, Florida Machine is a lean operation managing corporate quality, customer service and support, as well as central warehousing. The company serves customers in Alabama, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania. Industries served include Pneumatic Valves, Filters, Defense, Aviation and other critical applications. Products available include aluminum castings (sand, permanent mold, die cast), iron sand castings, steel forgings, and steel investment castings. Most of the product shipped from this location includes some form of added value such as machining and non-destructive testing. This location frequently supplies castings that meet AMS-Std-2175 Class 1 and Class 2 and other critical specification.
We would like to expand our business in the states of California, New York, and Virginia where we know there are potential customers who can use our capabilities. Sales representative and OEMs are welcome to contact us.
